I never get tired of telling people that if they already have a computer, they do not need to get other stuff. For example if you already have a computer, you need not get a radio – you can listen to a myriad on radio stations online. You do not need get a fax either. You can use your computer as a fax replacement. All you need is the right piece of software and you can turn your PC into a proper fax replacement. The right piece of software in this situation is the ElectraSoft-developed 32bit Fax.

There isn’t much to say about this piece of software – in trying to explain what it does. As the name so adequately points out, it is a fax application. It allows you to receive and send faxes from your computer. There is a bit more to say when we talk about how 32bit Fax does its job. The application lets you send faxes by fax modem, send faxes by email, or send fax over the internet. Incoming faxes can be forwarded to a specific email address – you’ll get a TIFF or PDF file in your inbox.

You can use 32bit Fax on just about any version of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. You can definitely use it without a problem on the old but popular Windows XP, on the much avoided Windows Vista, and even on the latest iteration, Windows 7.
